Stourbridge Willetts and the Present of Doom October 2008 Wacom Intuos 9x12 Total Drawing Time: 2 hours, 3 minutes
We named the dog "Stourbridge"!
Replay pulls out all the stops for my birthday every year, so I knew I had to do my part to make something good for him today. Originally I had planned several different things for the picture (Replay was going to be raiding a treasure chest while Captain Syrup plastered herself to him) but in the end it turned into this.
It's a little... wetter looking? than I like, but in the end, hey! It's free!
Nice WALL-O-CAMEOS in the back ground there. I recognize: Zoidburg, Castle Crasher, Mario mushroom, fire flower, ? block, Mario, Wario, Homer Simpson?, Lucky Cat, like 3 of Replay's characters I never memorized the name to, and that still leaves a good 10 unknowns to me.
The three characters of mine are Crumbs, Drizzle and Replay, and I also note a small octopus which may be the flower-stealing variety, a bumpty looking penguin, Bart Simpson then what looks to be a happy Buddha and perhaps one of the three stooges, I don't know which is which. Assuming this was drawn on a number of layers there may be more behind the foreground objects.
Well not only was I surprised to find you were drawing me a birthday picture but I was also surprised and elated to see what it was.
Truly I laughed a loud laugh and spotted the spectral whip immediately.
Many thanks, ol' pal, I shall treasure it like a golden gift. Though I fear my rudimentary artboard skills will no longer be enough to compete; maybe I can finally get that tablet I've been contemplating.

And some candy!
