Mime Replay
October 2011
Wacom Intuos 9x12, Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0

It's been a while, but here's a new addition to the Final Snipe Hunt family - Replay (~professorfandango) as a Mime.

I drew elements from many sources here: the Mime job class from Final Fantasy Tactics; Gogo, the mysterious mime from Final Fantasy VI; and because of the similarities to Gogo, Gilgamesh (from various Final Fantasies).

But that's only where the homages begin. Can you find all the references to Replay's cartoon characters? His outfit contains references to Crumbs, Quartz, Zeppelin, the Flying Buttress of Venison, Lunis, Drizzle, and even Brooklyn. There's also elements of the Professor Fandango character, the human!Replay character, and the robot!Replay character. Enjoy!

Oh wow this is amazing, and even I'm struggling to find all the references!

Crumbs appears to be the badge on the red cloth, Quartz is the tiny cuckoo and right hand glove design, Zeppelin is the multicoloured horns. The Flying Buttress of Vension has a few references, including the antler, cardboard turret and sneaky tail. Lunis is the central badge, Drizzle is the hat design but Brooklyn is giving me hassle!
Professor Fandango appears in the form of the style of hat (its big white rim) with peacock feather and the swirly shirt, Human Replay has the boot, star design and cardboard arm, also presumably the pencil and the right arm seems to have Chromaroller colors while Robot Replay exists in the shoulder armour (and possible shin armour), hat crest and the cardboard star arm.
I can't quite figure out the left leg, left arm and face mask. (Oh wait the left glove have Buttress brick markings on it)
Finally, who could miss the Professor Hazard reference in the hazard striped drape?

All in all this is an excellent amalgamation of the crap I have done (TM) and I thank you dearly for it!

(PS: Do I have a really muscular arm?)

The muscular arm is actually just billowy cloth, although the middle cardboard arm was a Trogdor muscle-arm until I changed it to a Buttress tower.

The left arm has a spiked gauntlet present on one of Gilgamesh's arms. The left leg is a straight lift of the male Mime from FFT. The mask is Gogo's, with the chest design of the aforementioned Mime. Other than that, looks like you hit everything, even the Buttress bricks on the glove palm.

You did skip over the heart-boxers, which are a slight reference to Brooklyn and your general lechery, but in point of fact the top cardboard arm is hers (the sleeve has that bowling-shirt edge on it).

Oooooooh yeeees. I did wonder about the boxers too. I did think that perhaps the belt(?) was perhaps in brief reference to Brooklyn's tied shirt, but wasn't sure.
I have never played a Final Fantasy with a mime in it so I would never have got the original bits and pieces but it is still my favourite thing!

Oh, and the Orange Badge, I forgot to mention.

The Orange Badge is there, unexplained as always.
