Thinking of a name for this picture took almost as long as drawing it. The characters involved - Elora and Patrick Hunter - have always been one of my back burner projects, but I've never had a good name for their series. So after browsing and browsing and BROWSING and browsing, I came up with Lex Talionis. But that is old news. Let me tell you about the characters.

Elora - A fallen angel who has been living on Earth since the War in Heaven. The scarring on her upper arm reveals a place where Elysian armor used to be. Fallen angels often sell their golden armor over the centuries in order to deal with their biological needs of food and shelter. However, a scar always remains behind as a reminder. She owns a books and antiquities store in San Francisco.

Patrick Hunter - The last descendant of a family so renowned for being vampire hunters that their last name is "Hunter". He has cleared out most of the vampire population of Europe, and in so doing, has followed a trail of information leading to the United States, where an illuminati of powerful vampires run corporations and broker power from behind the scenes. Having lived in a rural area of Romania, his introduction to the simple pleasures of the modern world have allowed him to update his cache of anti-vampire weaponry with new items, from toys to technology.

The two of them meet up in a whirlwind adventure, and begin to travel across America looking for ways to take down the hidden vampire regime.
